Hexagon Pincushion
I’ve decided to take some time off from shop stuff and work on things for myself for a little while. First up was a new pincushion. I figured I could incorporate my current obsession with hexagons. So here is the result: all hand stitched with pretty scraps (many Harmony Art Organics) and filled with Bamboo fiber.

I had fun making it so I foresee more in the future. These hexagons are such a great way to use up those little itty bitty scraps.

My Creative Space

Sunlight One.
My crafty time this week has been filled with working on a handful of different things for the upcoming craft market. I bounce back and forth between sewing up aprons, makeup bags, even a couple skirts. The To-Do Pile is gradually getting smaller and The Completed Pile is growing. The one consistency is the light spilling in. Since the time change the light floods in the window of my west facing room a lot earlier. And I like it.
Sunlight Two.
Now to dive into a big box of fabric the UPS man brought me–which includes some of Amy Butler’s ‘Love’ prints!

Scraps
I’m sharing my creative space early this week because my Thursday tomorrow is going to be pretty busy. Two weeks ago, I showed you my nicely organized scrap stacks. The smaller scraps reside one shelf down, neatly hidden in two fabric covered boxes. The big stash is hidden in the closet (thankfully.) Someday I’ll get around to organizing it. And remind me not to buy anymore fabric, as you can see, I have no room for it!

I’m also still working on aprons. The little details make me smile–like bindings all rolled up and ready.

Tonight I work on apron pockets.

Scraps.
It’s been a while since I played along in My Creative Space. I was busy with the ’30 Days of Happiness’ in September and just been busy in general so far in October.
Prepping.
I’ve been devoting a lot of my crafty time lately to organizing my scraps and prepping new projects: like make up bags, eye glasses cases, card keepers, coasters, checkbook covers, etc.

It's Snowing.
In other news: It’s snowing.
