I love the autumn rain. It’s always makes the fallen leaves just glisten and their colors and textures just shine so much brighter.
But today wasn’t a great day for it. Art Across the River was scheduled for today. I woke up the sound of rain around five a.m. and thought, “Great, I can sleep in because it’s got to be postponed.” Two hours later, my Mom wakes me up and says, “Time to get up. It’s still on.” So we loaded up the truck in the rain. Went to Columbia, waited a little while for the now-heavier rain to let up and then decided not to bother. Turns out this was a wise move because it’s been raining on and off all day. Still don’t know if they ended up canceling it or not. I can’t see how anyone would want to show or visit on a day like this.
I’m not too disappointed about it because I can just list all my stuff on my shop. But my Dad worked so hard and was looking forward to this. Even my brother planned on showing some of his art.
We may aim for a craft fair in December.
Anyway, it’s been a lazy, rainy September Sunday.

Tomorrow is the Grand Re-Opening of my shop!
