Long day today. No time for decent or interesting photos. So I threw in one completely unrelated to this post–the porch, being taken over by Morning Glory. However, I did manage to find time today to do the finishing touches on a total of eight aprons! I’ll be posting about them as soon as I get photos.
Tonight I get some down time to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and Project Runway. (Anyone else love this new season? I think Shirin is going to go far—but you never know with this show.)

Some of What I’ve Been Up To

Sketching. Ideas are a-swirlin’.

Such as this Willow embroidery—inspired by my Easter walk. It turned out a little more folk art than I intended. It doesn’t look too much like a palm tree, does it?

My first attempt at Sashiko—with a twist. Traditionally it’s white stitching on navy fabric. I love the effect and can’t wait to try out more designs.

Finding patches of sun to sit in. (Or channeling my inner cat?) It supposed to get up to ninety degrees Fahrenheit over the next few days. (That’s about 32 degrees Celsius for those of you metric-ians.) It is only the end of April, isn’t it?

I’m currently busy working on some custom requests and I’ve already begun listing some items in my shop but the bulk will come in March. I’m planning a project called “31 Items in 31 Days.” It’ll be just that—everyday in March I’ll update my shop with one new item. I have some items on reserve so I won’t have to work my fingers right down to the bone. But I will have to keep pretty busy to meet the goal.
