Swap

Swap
On Wednesday, I received the awesomest package in the mail. Harmony of Harmony Art and I did a trade and I was the recipient of an amazing fabric grab bag! I’ve been drooling over the scraps and dreaming up all kinds of projects. The whole experience makes me feel as if Spring has sprung early!
Now comes the mustering of the courage to cut any of it. Is anyone else like that? When they get their hands on beautiful fabric, it takes forever to make a decision as to what to do with it? I had the Whispering Grass print for ages before I finally made my mind up on the Marian Dress and the Lucy Jumper.

My fabric is divided into two groups – The Good Stuff and the stuff I can experiment and play with. Whenever I cut into The Good Stuff I feel a little sad for all of the things I could have done with it. It seems that good fabric inspires especially good ideas, and of course, it’s almost always the expensive stuff, also!

Let’s just say I have some 100% silk knit that I bought at Mood when I went to NYC to try out for Project Runway….season 2. I’ve moved it three times I think!!

That’s quite the stash you just received… how lucky! What did you make for her?
