RIT

Dyed
Along with many very-vintage textiles, my Grandma has given me three German pillow shams. They are more square-shaped than the standard rectangular pillow case, beautiful and vintage but slightly discolored with age and wear. I decided to dye them just to see what would happen. I chose Rit’s “Scarlet” but they turned out to be more of a “coral” in my opinion. I plan on revamping them into aprons in the future. One came out perfect enough for the shop, another I intended to keep for myself all along, and the last may be cut up and used for other projects.
