Friday Recap.

Apart from trims and cutting bangs a few years ago, I haven’t cut my hair since summer of 2001. And every once in a while I see something (or do something–like get it caught in a car door) that makes me want to just cut it all off. This time it was a woman in an Acura commercial of all things. Here’s a still…

I’m sure the urge will pass and I’ll keep my hair, but it’s nice for a little while, to dream about having short hair again.

Onward to crafty things… Many tutorials to share with you this week. Oh how I wish I had more time to try them all!

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser Tutorial. Found via Jessica of Turkey Cookies.

Smocked Skirt Tutorial.

Bloomers!

My lovely cousin started a 1000markets shop called Hayden’s Halos to sell her adorable baby headgear. Go check it out.

I’ve been digging this British bluegrass band.

I had every intention of bidding on this for my Birthday Dress Goal but it went out of my price range.

And last but not least, Erin is offering up a personalized handmade book cover!

Have a happy weekend!

I love it! I go from short to long every couple of years as I always just grow it straight out and then get it cut in a short bob…

…One time at an amusement park when it was really long – I got it caught in the bars that hold you in your seat on a roller coaster – everyone had to wait at the end of the ride while we got me untangled…

I’ve also been listening to Mumford and Sons quite a lot during the past weeks (I especially like Winter Winds). Keeping in mind that I discovered on last.fm how many artists we already have in common, this is almost a bit creepy. :)

My hair is super long, too. I try to get it cut about once a year, but my hair grows so quickly that it’s usually a very dramatic event for the hairstylist (lots of “Are you SURE you want this much off??”). The last time I had it cut was January of last year. It was just past my shoulders and now it’s down to my waist. I like it long, but sometimes it really does get in the way! I braid it or twist it up most of the time, but it’s starting to get old. I’ve been dreaming of a new style lately, too.

(Thanks for the link! :) )

I tried hair like that once, I didn’t work on me but I love getting my hair cut short like that, I’ll have to do it soon. It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten my hair cut as well, only 2 years though.

Love Mumford & Sons!! I do love your long hair…I’m needing to go shorter and am taking that picture to the hairdresser on Thurs.
