About Me
Hi.11.2 Bench Monday8:365 : Outtake.New Lens!5.365 : Snow Fall.
Hi, I’m Liesl (pronounced lee-zul). I’m 26. I live in a tiny town in the Skylands of North Western New Jersey. I’m here with my parents, twin brother, grandmother, a dog and a handful of cats on beautiful chunk of land that has been in our family for over a century. This situation offers me the opportunity at this point of my life to do what I love (at least part time) and that is run Liesl Made—which is a little project that encompasses all my sewing adventures.

Things I love: The color gray. Elderflower water. Finding new music. Goats. Greyhounds. Vintage. Anything that smells like lemongrass or almonds. The Virgin Mary. Autumn. Natural fibers. Clothes on the line. Snow.

I blog about all sorts of things here in this wee space. Mostly my sewing, but sometimes herbivorous foods and recipes, music, fashion, photography, nature and handmade, of course!

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at liesl52(at)gmail(dot)com or simply comment anywhere on the blog and I’ll be sure to get back to you!

About Liesl Made
From 2006 to early 2012, I ran a little shop, also called Liesl Made on Etsy. It was great run but I decided to give it up and focus on crafting for myself and family and friends for a while.

    Hi Liesl!

You’re reading Against the Grain? Wow, very nice! Hope to stop by new Jersey sometime soon – of course, if you ever make it over here, you’re more than welcome!

Hello! I guess a year or so ago you had a great tutorial on how to make those folded star hot pads. I still read compliments about your tutorial, but can’t seem to find it now. Is there any chance you would be willing to share those instructions again?

    Tell me if I’m wrong…

But, judging from the photo’s I’ve seen on your page, I would surmise that your environment is a perfect place for you to draw inspirational elements to incorporate in your designs and creations (wow… what a nerdy sentence with possible run-ons). If it is, then I am quite envious of you… there are very few people that have the opportunity to do what they want (and love) to do, and be able to do it all in an environment that’s beneficial to their work. Even if you are only 20-something, you are an inspiration to everyone regardless of age.

Anyways, I don’t seriously talk like what I typed above… I just wanted to say nice work!
